Statement of Faith
The Bible is the sole basis of our beliefs and we accept the doctrinal teaching which Christians have historically been in general agreement on.
- The divine inspiration of the Bible, that it is without error in its original documents and is the final authority in faith, life, and doctrine.
- The one living and true God, who is eternally existent in three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- God is the creator of all things, giver of all life, all knowing, all powerful, all loving, completely just, and an advocate of the poor and brokenhearted.
- The humanity and deity of Jesus Christ, i.e. His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His finished work of salvation, His bodily resurrection from death, His ascension into heaven, and His personal return in power and glory.
- Universal sin and the guilt of humanity since the fall of creation through Adam and Eve, and that the relationship which God intended all people to have with Him has been broken.
- Forgiveness and salvation of humans, which is only possible by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ
- The present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who empowers all Christians, enabling them to become more like Jesus Christ and equipping them with different gifts for service.
- Resurrection and judgment of all people, those who have been saved to eternal fellowship with God, and those who are lost to bear the consequences of sin by eternal separation from God.
