Introduction | Children of Cambodia
Children of Cambodia
The children of Cambodia are exposed to great physical, emotional, sexual and social harm within the family and wider society due to poverty, domestic violence, break-up of families, spread of HIV/Aids, commercial sexual exploitation, child labor, human trafficking and lack of access to education and healthcare.
Children are both the most powerless and vulnerable members of society. They are on a journey of growth, of being and becoming. Negative experiences, abuse and traumas in childhood will result in mental, emotional and moral problems in adulthood. As children represent the future generation of citizens and leaders, Kaleb e.V., Cambodia is committed to provide a child based contribution to society by assisting Cambodian children and young people in distress.
